JUSTUS is Latin; and has two meanings, justice and friend. That's what
the firm, in addition to being competent in law and efficient, tries to
be for it's clients and here are some reasons.
Today's society
*
* moves faster than yesterday's
* is more efficient
* depends more on co-operation.
* is more service oriented
* and is more competitive.
Advokatbyrån Justus have been following these developments closely.
In a modern law office, an assignment from one and the same client might
be dealt with by several different lawyers, depending on its nature. Of
course, each client must have his personal lawyer. The point of not having
watertight compartments is that clients are interested only in the best
possible solution to their problems. Legal matters should be dealt with
by the most competent lawyers.
A modern law office must take an overall view of its client's problems
and be able to handle commercial law as well as private law.
A modern law office, should be able to help the clients all the way, with
everything from commercial agreements and company purchase to inheritance
matters and matrimonial settlements, using lawyers who have special expertise
in the fields concerned.
A modern law office must keep abreast of new social trends and work together
with the clients on equal terms and in an informal manner.
A modern law office must be able to communicate rapidly and correct using
a high level of computerisation and IT methods.
A modern law office can't just go on selling legal services in the same
old way. A law firm must be able to offer the expertise of the whole office
to its clients at fixed and in advance determined fees.
Advokatbyrån JUSTUS is a modern law office. In order to meet not
only today's needs but tomorrow's, we have made changes. But not at the
expense of our core activity: competence in the law.
In the firm each client has his personal lawyer but the most competent
lawyer in respective case is also there helping. We help the clients in
all his legal matters from the most complicated business matter to the
easiest personal matter. We try to create a personal relation with our
clients and try not to sit on high horses. We are highly computerised and
we were amongst the first law firms in Sweden communicating by means of
E-mail and with a web site on the net. We have a special product the JUSTUS
Business package offering company client's legal advice at a fixed and
in advance agreed yearly price. Maybe it wasn't for nothing that, as a
result of our computerisation, we were mentioned in a report from SAF,
the Swedish Employers' Confederation, productivity programme as one of
Sweden's eight "fastest" and market oriented companies.
All this is part of our way of ensuring fruitful co-operation, of adapting
our "style" to the way most modern companies function today.
WHAT CAN THE FIRM DO FOR IT´S BUSINESS CLIENTS

THE VIEWS OF THE FIRM
We feel that, at the moment, advokatbyrån Justus as far as the national
perspective is a modern law firm. The rapidly accelerating internationalisation,
the vaster trade unions as the European Union and World Trade Organisation,
opening of the boarders for trade and labour makes it necessary for a modern
law office to be able to help clients with national as well as international
legal matters. Realistically this cannot be done within one firm. A law
firm must have a vast net of international connections.
The first step was to open an office within the European Union. That we
did 1990, before Sweden even was a member.
For other countries we are of course using old connections. We have also
tried membership in international lawyers associations.
To be able to meet the need of our clients we believe that a deeper co-operation
with law firms around the world is necessary and we are working on it.
